FLW College Fishing Northern Division To Host Event On Lake ErieFLW College National Guard small
ERIE, Pa - National Guard FLW College Fishing is headed to Lake Erie on September 11 for the last of four stops in the Northern Division. Forty collegiate teams will be competing for a top award of $10,000 to be split evenly between the school and bass fishing club.
If the anglers can get out on the lake, it’s just a no-brainer,” said Chevy pro Dave Lefebre of Union City, Pa. “They’ll need to get out in deeper water and find the little rock piles and humps and breaklines 30 to 50 feet deep. And they’ll need to use little baits. They can’t think they’re going to power fish. It’s all light line and using your electronics.Bass National guard FLW Small

“It’s not the primo time of year to be on Erie, but the weights are always going to be big here,” Lefebre added.

Anglers will take off from Presque Isle Bay State Park located at 301 Peninsula Drive in Erie, Pa., at 6:30 a.m. Weigh-in will be held at Presque Isle Bay State Park beginning at 1 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.
