Conservationists to Provide Informative Press Briefing on the Polluters Over People Bill (SSAB/SB24)

What: Special Session AB/SB 24, the Polluters Over People Bill, constitutes an aggressive rollback to decades of conservation protections, as well as a backdoor attempt to promote mining. Because the bill is long and quite complicated, members of Wisconsin’s conservation community are providing a briefing for the media in advance of what is expected to be a large hearing on Wednesday. This bill is expected to move quickly and could be on the floor as early as next week.

Notes: The hearing on the Polluters Over People Bill will be a joint hearing of the Assembly and Senate Natural Resource Committees. It will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 11:00 am in 417 N.
