Make a Note of BirdNote 3-16-2013

Wednesday March 13, 2013   |

The Birding Community E-Bulletin, an independent newsletter appearing monthly on the National Wildlife Refuge Association’s website, reminded us this week of BirdNote, a daily two-minute radio show that combines bird-rich sounds with engaging stories, to illustrate the amazing lives of birds and give listeners a real break from the news of the day.

BirdNote is broadcast mostly on public radio stations, but is also available via podcast by visiting http://www.birdnote.org

For the remainder of March, stories will include Lewis’s Woodpeckers (13 March), sage-grouse leks (16 March), eagles rebounding (19 March), Red-winged Blackbird harems (22 March), and heron nests (28 March).

An archive of approximately 1,200 stories here may be found at http://birdnote.org/archive
