The Wyoming Game and Fish Commissioners have awarded the TRCP a coveted big-game permit to use as a fundraiser for conservation projects that benefit all sportsmen who hunt and fish in Wyoming. The fundraiser is an opportunity for the winning bidder to participate in the hunt of a lifetime while also advancing conservation and hunter access across Wyoming.

The proceeds will benefit TRCP’s work in Wyoming and the Wyoming Game & Fish Department’s Hunter Access Program, benefiting all sportsmen by guaranteeing them a place to hunt and fish.

The permit will be sold via auction with the minimum bid of $7,500 and a “buy now” price of $9,000. Bids will be accepted through July 9 with the winning bidder being notified no later than July 10, 2013.

The permit is valid in any open area during the 2013 hunting seasons for antelope, deer or elk. The hunter will be responsible for choosing his or her species and hunt unit prior to the open season. Permits are valid in all open areas of Wyoming, except for those within Grand-Teton National Park (elk units 75, 77 and 79).

To bid on the tag, contact TRCP Western Outreach Director Neil Thagard at 208-861-8634 or via email at nthagard@trcp.org.
