12th Annual Intermediate & Advanced Muskie School
Saturday, March 16, 2013 @ Waunakee High School
The Capital City Chapter of Muskies, Inc. announced today that they will offer their 12th Annual Intermediate and Advanced Muskie School on March 16th 2013. This unique all-day training opportunity will be held at Waunakee High School in Waunakee, WI.
The faculty has 500 years of combined muskie fishing experience. Students will have many classes to choose from including some not offered before. Minimizing muskie mortality as we react to climate change will be the focus of the keynote presentation by the DNR’s Scot Stewart. Both sides of this situation will be addressed to start things off. Over 30 classes will be offered including the History of Muskie Fishing, Sonar and Marine Electronics, Night Muskies, Fishing Sawyer and NW Wisconsin, poolside demos and Fishing The Madison Chain etc.
To promote youth involvement (participants must be at least 8 years old) the tuition is only $10. The NPAA is donating 25 rod/reel combos for participants 12 years and younger. Tuition for adults is $34 (early bird price) or $44 if received after March 11th, 2013.
Doors open at 7:15am and the school ends at 4:00pm. This school is incredibly useful and an affordable opportunity to help muskie anglers learn about muskie fishing and to prepare for the 2013 season. For more detailed information see www.capitalcitymuskiesinc.org for contacts listed above.
