Anti-Hunting Group Cries Wolf Over Wolf Management Law
 The president of one of the most radical animal rights organizations in the country popped up in Lansing to announce a coalition circulating a petition to put PA 520 of 2012 – also known as the Wolf Management Law – on the 2014 ballot as a referendum. SOUND OFF ON WOLVES

House Natural Resources, Tourism Committees Announced
 Last week, the new committees on Natural Resources and Tourism and Outdoor Recreation (now 2 separate committees) were announced for the House of Representatives. Rep. Andrea LaFontaine (R – Columbus Twp) will chair the House Committee on Natural Resources and Rep. Peter Pettalia (R – Presque Isle) will chair the House Committee on Tourism. Fill Out Your 2012 Michigan Deer Harvest Survey
 The little blue surveys have gone out and a lucky 50,000 or so hunters have been asked to provide detailed information about their 2012 deer hunting season in Michigan. Three even luckier hunters that fill out this mail survey and return it to the DNR by Feb. 15 will be eligible to win a shotgun, muzzleloader, or bow donated by the Safari Club International Michigan Involvement Committee.
