After both Tony and Gary traveling and fishing tournaments, they are both back for
this week’s show of Outdoor Horizons Radio. Their guest is Andrew Marks from Pure Fishing. Andrew is in the marketing and research and development departments at Pure Fishing and Berkley. We talk about some of the newer products in the Berkley line with the addition of Flicker Shad in more sizes and colors. Marks talks about the development of the Flicker Shad with the help of pro anglers, Gary Parsons and Keith Kavajecz. Andrew was at the NPAA Convention in Minneapolis when we interviewed Andrew. I’m sure that you’ll like the talk and information that you hear.

Tony and Gary talk about a few tips when fishing in summer’s hot weather. There’s fishing reports for most waters in the area including Lake Wisconsin, the Wisconsin River, and the Madison Chain of Lakes. The boys have been guiding on local waters and fishing is good, if you can find locations that are not too weedy. The water temperature has risen to the mid 70′s, so most fish have gone to their summer patterns. The heavy rains in northern Wisconsin has allowed the Wisconsin River to rise overnight. There’s lots of walleyes , but it’s difficult to find a few over 18 inches. Muskies are active, so try some top-waters! Tony and partner, Mike Pecosky, are fishing the PMTT at Eagle River, Wisconsin this weekend. They won the event last year.![]()
