MUCC, Legislature Helps Narrow Scope of Bottle Bill Changes
Ice cold drinks, or at least the containers for certain ice cold drinks, has been the biggest topic of discussion at the capitol over the last few days.
The legislature moved a bill that would create an exemption from the Michigan Bottle Deposit Law. Read about MUCC’s involvement that led to a last minute floor amendment.

Man Charged with Selling Live Asian Carp in Michigan
An Arkansas man is facing 12 felony counts of possessing and selling live Asian carp in Michigan. The fish were allegedly transported and sold from tanks housed in a semi-truck.
The charges follow a joint investigation by the DNR’s Special Investigation Unit and Commercial Fish Enforcement Unit.
