J. J. Keller Fishing Team Wins Tournament Award
The J. J. Keller Fishing Team of James and Brian Keller received the Dick Paulson “Family Spirit Award” for the 1st place family fishing team at the two-day Mercury National Walleye Tournament in Fond du Lac this past weekend.
The team registered their 5-fish limit each day for a total of 34.66 pounds which was good for an overall 20th place finish and a $1,000 cash award. 300 teams signed up this year – the maximum allowed for the tournament.
The J. J. Keller Fishing Team operates out of The Reel Shot Pro Shop in Oshkosh. The father and son team have been fishing the annual Walleye Tournament since 1998. This is the second time they won the “Family Spirit Award” – the first time was in 2008.
