Recently introduced House of Representatives legislation would undermine responsible public lands energy development and jeopardize our American sporting traditions. While energy development is a legitimate use of public lands, development must be done in a way that balances energy production with conservation of fish and wildlife habitat and upholds opportunities to hunt and fish.

Sportsmen for Responsible Energy Development, a coalition of businesses, organizations and individuals led in part by the TRCP, had a representative testify before the House highlighting flaws in these bills.

Take a moment to contact your members of Congress. Ask them to support sustainable fish and wildlife populations, American sportsmen and our nation’s $821 billion per-year outdoor recreation-based economy by voting NO on these bills.
