Gun Values and Lead This Week on Gun TalkGun Talk Radio

Mandeville, LA - It’s gun values, the environmental lead issue, and a Ruger 1911 giveaway, this Sunday on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk (R) Radio, the nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Have you ever looked at your firearm and wondered how old it is? Who manufactured it? What is it worth? This Sunday, Blue Book Inc.’s Steve Fjestad stops in to answer those questions and more. The Blue Book of Gun Values released its 32nd Edition this year, with over 2,300 pages of information on both modern and antique firearms. More info on the book and online subscriptions can be found at www.bluebookinc.com.

Also on Gun Talk this Sunday, U.S. Senator Jon Tester, D-Montana is back to discuss the bill that he and Sen. Thune have introduced - Senate Bill 838, the Hunting, Fishing and Recreational Shooting Sports Protection Act. This bill aims to clarify why lead ammunition is exempt under the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976.

“Hunting, shooting and fishing are more than just pastimes in Montana - they’re part of our outdoor heritage,” Tester said. “They’re Montana values that we pass on to our kids and grandkids. And I’ll fight for those values whenever Washington D.C.’s rules get in the way of commons sense.”

And, it’s the last week to enter Gun Talk’s “Ruger All-American Giveaway”: Grand prize winner receives the new Ruger SR1911 pistol and the final ten First Prize winners win the new BX-25 magazine for the 10-22 rifle and a Ruger hat. Enter today at www.guntalk.com/contest.

In its 16th year of national syndication, Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk Radio airs live on Sundays from 2PM-5PM Eastern, and runs on more than 115 stations, plus on XM (Ch. 165) Satellite Radio. All Gun Talk shows can be downloaded as podcasts at  http://www.guntalk.libsyn.com and Apple iTunes, or through one of the available Apps: the Gun Talk iPhone App, the Blackberry Podcast App, the Android App and the Gun Talk App for Android on Amazon.
