You get two choices! By ice or water!
It is that crazy time of year again where we have 40 inches of ice on Lake of the Woods and up River about 30 miles on the Rainy River we have open water and boats are splashing in. Take your pick!
Ice Fishing
Our last day of ice fishing will be March 31. By the sounds of forecast I am sure we will have quite a bit of ice on the main lake for at least another week. Graceton Beach is the best area to get out on if you decide to venture out. Be sure to check with local resorts, tackle shops or guides before you venture out as this time of year conditions can change quickly.
Spring Soft Water Fishing
We have open water just past Frontier Landing right now. You can launch a boat at Birchdale Landing or push off on an ice shelf at Frontier right now. We think by the weekend Vidas Landing just east of Clementson will be open. A few anglers have been out and they are reporting that the walleyes are moving around. Not many big hogs yet but they have been catching some nice 16″-20″ the past few days. The water level has been staying pretty stable and the Little Fork River has actually gone down the past week. We have a 30% chance of some rain/snow showers in the next 3 days but it doesn’t sound like we will get much. Temperatures look like they will be in the 40’s for the next week. We will have guided outfitter trips available starting April 2. Give us a call availability is limited!

After March 31 we will continue to have rooms and cabins available to rent for just $39 per person per night as well as food and drinks also available through the spring season. Breakfast will be open, but Mon - Fri reservations by 7pm night prior are required. Click here for all of the latest dining and bar hours. The pool is currently closed for some maintenance; we hope to get it back open again in a few weeks. Guided outfitter trips are available starting April 2 and charter trips by April 14.
