Outdoor Horizons Radio with Guest Chris Gilman, This Years FLW Walleye Tour Champion 1-29-2010

   The guest on this week’s Outdoor Horizons Radio is this year’s FLW Walleye Tour Champion, Chris Gilman of Chisago, Minnesota.Walleye Chris Gilman Small Besides being a manufactors representative for a sporting goods company, Chris has been a professional walleye angler for over 20 years with success on the MWC, PWT, RCL, and FLW tours. He has been a money winner on all the tours that he has fished with this year’s Championship win his highpoint of his career. Chris is a great interview and talks about his long fishing career while sharing some tips for all of us. Chris is one of walleye fishing good guys! Listen and maybe there’s a tip or two that you can use.

   Tony and Gary give a local fishing report which hasn’t been very good lately. There still are some bluegills biting on Lake Mendota and Lake Waubesa, but you have to sort through the fish to get a good meal. There is a walleye bite on Lake Mendota, but most of the walleyes are under the 18 inch minimum and caught at night. Jim Kusuda and Charlie Grimm have been doing good on perch on Lake Monona, but again many of the fish are small. The same is true for Lake Mendota. Devils Lake is producing some brown trout on both tip-ups and jigging with the Bait Rigs Willow Spoon and a minnow. Dale Stroshein is doing well on whitefish in Sandy Bay and Little Sturgeon Bay which are “on fire” with a fantastic whitefish bite. John Gillespie did his show from there this week.
