Wins Nebraska State Duck Calling Contest

Hunter’s Specialties Pro Staff member Nick Brichacek recently won the Nebraska State Duck Calling Contest at the Cabela’s Waterfowl Weekend in LaVista, Nebraska.

Four of the top callers in the state each participated in three rounds of calling. When the scores were added up, Nick came out on top. Nick previously won in 2005 and 2009, making this is his third Nebraska state championship.

“I’m really excited about the win”, said Brichacek. “The competition was tough, but now I’m qualified to participate in the World Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas in November. There will be 68 other world class callers in the competition and it will be a great contest. Last year at Stuttgart, I made it through all three rounds of calling to finish 12th in the world. I have had great success with Hunter’s Specialties duck calls. Their quality, realistic sounds and ease of use have helped me to win all three of my state championships.”
