Budweiser Teams Up with Waddell and NFWF
ST. LOUIS - Budweiser, its family of wholesalers and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (Foundation) have teamed up with Michael Waddell for the twelfth annual ‘Help Budweiser Conserve the Outdoors’ program this fall. To date, the program has raised more than $9 million to help restore vital wildlife habitats across the country, protect watersheds and conserve the nation’s outdoor heritage.
Under the ‘Help Budweiser Conserve the Outdoors’ program, participating Anheuser-Busch wholesalers donate a percentage of proceeds from all bottles and cans of Budweiser sold from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, 2010 to the Foundation. The Foundation then matches the contributions and distributes the funds to leading conservation organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, , Delta Waterfowl Foundation and Quality Deer Management Association.![]()
“Budweiser has a long history when it comes to supporting wildlife and conservation efforts and I am excited to join them in helping tell their story to outdoor enthusiasts,” said Waddell. “The ‘Help Budweiser Conserve the Outdoors’ program is just one example of Budweiser’s commitment and their ongoing efforts to partner with organizations that are truly making an impact in protecting and conserving the outdoors for future generations.”
Waddell is considered by many to be the face of the modern outdoors industry and appears on several popular shows on the Outdoor Channel including, ‘Bone Collector’ and ‘Realtree Road Trips.‘ He also represents numerous organizations dedicated to promoting the outdoors and conservation. Waddell will appear on Budweiser displays across the country to help promote the brand’s outdoor efforts, as well as make selected appearances.
“The success of our ‘Help Budweiser Conserve the Outdoors’ Program is really driven by our dedicated wholesalers who are committed to making a difference not only in their local communities, but across the country,” said Bob Fishbeck, senior program manager for Budweiser. “Additionally, we are excited to add Michael Waddell to the Budweiser team, who will help us promote all of our Budweiser Outdoors programs with consumers who share his passion for the great outdoors.”![]()
