Gunbroker.com Auctions Raise Funds for Youth Shooting Sports Alliance (YSSA) 4-7-2010

Gunbroker.com Auctions Raise Funds for YSSAA special GunBroker.com “Heritage Partnership” auction generated $11,000 to benefit the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance (YSSA). The auction was hosted on the Hunting Heritage Trust’s special “Treasures & Traditions” auction on GunBroker.com throughout the month of March 2010.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to acquire equipment and supplies needed to address limiting factors to growth of priority youth shooting sports programs selected by the YSSA Board of Directors for support in 2010.

Other “Heritage Partnership” auctions have benefited USA Shooting, the International Hunter Education Association, U.S. Biathlon Association, the Armed Forces Foundation and others.

In addition to this special auction, the YSSA routinely conducts auctions of donated shooting sports items acquired through its Donated Firearms Program. The Donated Firearms Program, featured on YSSA’s website www.youthshootingsa.com, encourages the donation of firearms and other related items which, in turn, are sold on GunBroker.com. Donated items are listed without a reserve bid and are awarded to the highest bidder. The Youth Shooting Sports Alliance, a 501(c)(3) private foundation, provide donors with a tax deductible receipt upon the sale of each item.
