Clements Fishing Barge on the Mississippi River 3-17-2010
gengberg March 17th, 2010
We put all the docks back together yesterday. I had help from Bob, Denver, Jeff, Scott and of course Dad. It went pretty well and we got them all done by about 5. Everyone is pretty sore this morning though, not use to all the work I guess. The river continues to climb.
It is suppose to peak around Monday. Right now it is a foot below the steel wall over by the dam. There was one boat fishing the inside of the float yesterday and we saw him catch some sauger, but so far its been slow with all the high water. Keep an eye on the link to the river stage on our web site for up to date information. Hopefully after the middle of next week the river will start to drop. Most all of the tributaries that feed into the river above us have already started dropping, that’s a good sign.
