Eagle River, Wisconsin Snowmobile and Snow Report 3-4-2010
gengberg March 4th, 2010
NEW: EAGLE RIVER, WISCONSIN SNOW REPORT, as of March 4, 2010.
(For lovers of snowmobiling, X-C skiing, and snowshoeing).
*EAGLE RIVER, WISCONSIN, Snowmobile Capital of the World.®
We could use more snow. We are at the point in the season of “adventure
sledding.”
Trails in and near Eagle River, are poor, with a few fair.
Farther out, conditions do improve, but all trails need more snow.
The Catfish Lake Loop and Eagle Lake Trails are smooth and covered with lots
of snow. Stay by the orange reflective marker barrels. There are ice
anglers out on both lakes so give them a wide berth. 100 feet is a good
minimum.
Grooming has stopped until the area gets more snow.
Eagle River is consistently ranked as “The best overall snowmobiling
vacation destination,” as well as “number one” for best trail riding, best
trail signing, best area catering to families, best area snowmobile service
facilities, and best for weekends or daytrips. Come and enjoy “The Eagle
River 500″ - - 500 miles of the greatest snowmobile trails anywhere.
Perfectly groomed and inspected. Enjoy pristine beauty, welcoming and
helpful people, and all the needed accommodations, services, infrastructure,
food, beverage and entertainment for any and all tastes.
The “Proud Groomers of the Snowmobile Capital of the World®”, the
Sno-Eagles, Inc.” continue to groom the trails.
