Thoughts and Prayers for Dave Erickson 3-3-2010

With the help of a Wisconsin Public Television camera crew and their HD equipment, Dave spent countless hours in 2009 recording Riverway scenes and people for an upcoming documentary. He is still in the process of editing the footage and preparing it for broadcast on Public Television.

Here is a message sent yesterday by Dave:

Happy Really-Belated New Year
Okay, now I need a favor… This Thursday, March 4, I need you to once again send me some good vibrations. A recent MRI showed that my brain tumor is growing again. The surgery two years ago got all they can without really screwing me up. So they’re trying radiation this time. If you think of it, point your fingers in my direction that day and sing the theremin part from the Beach Boys’ song “Good Vibrations.” Actually, you don’t have to know what that is, just think good thoughts, pray, whatever is appropriate for you. I would really appreciate it! I asked you to do this last time and the operation was a success so what the heck, let’s try it again.

You guys have been my great friends and family that have made this life worth living and I thank you. I thought this little health problem was over, but it goes to show you never can tell. If you forget on Thursday, this will be going on Mon-Fri for six weeks. Fun!
