Big Green Lake Fishing Report 2-25-2010

BIG GREEN LAKE UPDATE; Now just one week [Mar. 6th> before the permanent shantys have to removed from the lake we get a good amount of snow to make it alittle tougher to get around, oh well been there before. The weather is suppose to warm up some for this next week that will help with conditions on the lake. ****FISHING REPORT; The LAKE TROUT are still on a very good bite on the lake. They will be tough on some days and the morning bite is the best at this time. Lake Trout smaall HudsonThey are coming form deep and shallow water 50 to 130 feet. The best setup is jigging with swedish pimples, jig-a-woppers, chuby darters, and minnows fished close to bottom. ****NORTHERN; The bite has slowed for Northern. Tipups med. size minnows fished in 10 to 25 feet of water has been best. ****CISCO; Action is coming off the North side Sandstone Pt. Jigs fished in the schools best in the am will work. ****WHITEBASS; Has also slowed. Not many big Whitebass opening there mouths lately. Prilgram Camp shore area best. with jigs fished in schools. PANFISH; Action also has been slow in the bays and backwaters. Should get better with warmer weather. ****WALLEYE; Action in very slow. Not much to report here. ****Just a few more days to get in on the Lake Trout bite with the shantys. I am still running the weekday SPECIAL fish for the whole day with me for only $35.00 only warm shanty, ride to and from, bait and tackle ect. If interested call soon only going till Fri.
