Outdoors Magazine is proud to announce the release of its first issue devoted to youth in the outdoors, which will be in mailboxes and on newsstands across the country in the coming week.

“It is a fantastic issue,” said Outdoors Magazine editor Kyle Scanlon. “When we put it together we didn’t want the typical tips geared towards kids - every parent knows to bring along snacks and that type of thing. What we wanted was an issue that would deliver real tools to help young outdoorsmen, parents, and mentors be successful. In our mind, there is no better way to ensure they will continue with the sporting pursuits.”Outdoor Mag Youth small

“We also mixed in several other success stories, where there was plenty of room to read between the lines. After all, who doesn’t love a well-told tale about a first deer, brook trout, or even muskrat in a trap,” said Scanlon.

Other good news for Outdoors Magazine includes that it will now be distributed in an additional 159 stores on Navy bases all around the country.

“This is a perfect fit for Outdoors,” said publisher James Austin. “The people we work with at Curtis Circulation, and our newsstand consultant Tom Ferruggia, have really outdone themselves.”
