Star Gazing with Powerful Telescopes!
When: Sunday, Jan 31, 2010, Noon to 9 p.m.
Where: FLOW Operations and Nature Center

Spring Green, WI. (Town of Wyoming)
Enjoy a day of winter fun at this secluded 30-acre hideaway. An indoor petting area for the kids. Wayne & Linda Schutte’s miniature horse and donkey will be there along with Dr. John Dally’s family goats and chickens. There will be warming fire all day at the bonfire site. Snowshoe to through the woods and to the top of the bluff to enjoy a long distance view of the Riverway. There are areas to go sledding too.![]()
FLOW member Roger Reynolds has taken the initiative to host this event. He has fabricated two composting toilets which will be available for you to test! We will be utilizing a heated building for the food, socializing and membership meeting. Please bring your own activity equipment, chairs, beverages, drinking water, and finger food to share.
Attendees will get an exclusive preview of the upcoming documentary produced by Dave Erickson for Public TV at 3 pm.![]()
The Executive Director of the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board, Mark Cupp, will share some history and facts with us. Other knowledgeable people will say a few words as well.
The first Annual FLOW membership meeting will start at 4 pm. Everyone is invited to participate in this historic event. A leadership team will be nominated and elected to serve as charter members of our Board of Directors.
At twilight, Roger will add discarded Christmas trees to the warming fire for:
Natural Pyrotechnics 30-foot flames!!

The Iowa County Astronomers will host planet and star gazing with their telescopes on the other end of the building away from any light pollution.
Directions: County Hwy C is just south of the Wisconsin River off of State Hwy 23. The property is approximately three miles west of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, near Lower Wyoming Road. Please park your vehicle along the side of the road and walk up to the building.
There will be a walkie-talkie on the post by the entrance. Use it to contact us for a ride up the driveway, or call Timm (608-575-0325) from your cell phone.
Event is FREE and open to all, although donations are greatly appreciated.
