For a full agenda of the day, please visit: http://www.conservationvoters.org/PublicFiles/Custom/2010Agenda.pdf
Media are also invited to attend the Wild Game Feed and Conservation Lobby Day Social.
Why:
At the sixth annualConservation Lobby Day, citizens will ask legislators to take quick and decisive action on the four Conservation Priority issues. Success on Conservation Priority issues from past Lobby Days include the Clean Energy Bill of 2006, the reauthorization of the Stewardship Fund in 2007, and passage of the Strong Great Lakes Compact in 2008. Conservation Lobby Day 2009 helped propel AB 138, the bill to restore the Independent DNR Secretary, through the legislature with strong bi-partisan support, only to be vetoed by Governor Doyle.
Notes:
If you plan to attend any part of Conservation Lobby Day, please notify Anne Sayers at the contact info above, so you will be sure to receive all relevant materials.
Photos will be available immediately following the days’ events.
