Some of the featured deer include: a massive New York non-typical, a northern Maine giant 8-pointer, a 150-inch Adirondack mountain buck killed with a recurve, and a 250-pound behemoth harvested by a Vietnam-era veteran with a physical disability.Deer buck OM Magazine

“These are some of the best stories we have heard from this past season,” said Outdoors Magazine editor Kyle Scanlon. “They may not be the biggest deer necessarily, but they are all really special.”

Another tale profiles a 70-year-old Vermont man and his quest to recover an 8-pointer that was stolen off of his camp’s game pole.

“That story shows the best and worst of our hunting world,” said Scanlon.
