Eagle River, Wisconsin Snow and Snowmobile Report 12-28-09

We’ve got plenty of snow. Land trails in the Eagle River area are open,
groomed and being kept as smooth as possible (traffic is heavy, and the
groomer guys are working hard to keep things in shape- -and they’re doing a
heckuva good job!) . There is some sleet mixed in between the snow, but it
hasn’t made much, if any impact on the trails.. The Catfish Lake and Eagle
Lake trails are not open, as there is not enough ice. We’ll keep you posted
and provide more information on the opening of the lake trails. Should be
soon. Stay tuned.

Trail 10/13N has private landowner logging going on. From Eagle River
riding north and then west over the Wisconsin River bridge. After you cross
the bridge and come out on the west side there is a section that is plowed.
It is marked with “logging ahead” signs. This logging crew will be in there
for about two more weeks. Be aware.
