Announcing the…
2010 Collegiate Bass Fishing OPEN!

The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) announced that Paris/ Henry County Tennessee will host the newly created Collegiate Bass Fishing Open in 2010 and 2011. The event represents a major addition to the BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Series!

When?
June 21 - 26, 2010

Format?
- 2-day team format
- Each school will send as many teams as they like consisting of up to 6 anglers (3 boats) per team
- Teammates will work together to amass the heaviest team weight possible.
- Open Champions will be determined based on the combined weight of each team’s top 2 boats each day.

Stephen F. Austin State University will be holding their annual SFA Bucketmouth Bass Tournament on December 18-19, 2009. A New Lease On Life
An Essay by David Cosner of the Texas State Bass Cats Fishing TeamDavid Cosner
At the age of 17, David Cosner was was diagnosed with a rare form of vasculitis known as Wegener’s granulomatosis. Still fighting this disease, David is an avid fisherman and one of the founders and President of the Texas State Bass Cats fishing team. As David goes through another surgery this fall, his goal is to be well enough to fish the SFA Bucketmouth tournament in December. Read David’s full story here..
