Deer fellow deer hunter: Gun deer season opens just hours from now. I want to wish you good luck and safe travels in this, one of Wisconsin’s greatest outdoor traditions.
If you have the chance, consider shooting an extra deer and contributing it to the food pantry program. This year, 131 processors are participating in the program at a time when perhaps more families than ever might be looking for help with the grocery bill.
If you are mentoring a new hunter this year, thank you. You are making one of the most important investments in our natural resources, creating a conservationist of the future.
Enjoy your time in our beautiful outdoors with friends and family.
