Countdown to Election 2010 Begins Today

Today marks one year until Election 2010 - and, as you know, who we elect matters! Right now, we’re seeing the results of our 2008 election work in a big way. 
The conservation leaders we helped elect in 2008 have accomplished a lot this year - passing bills that promote wind energy, protect musky, and preserve some of Wisconsin’s most pristine rivers.
They’ve also helped pass bills like AB 3 - legislation that bans phosphorous in lawn fertilizer, helping to keep our lakes clean and free of stinky algae. In fact, 7 pro-environment laws have already been signed into law this year!
That’s why I’m asking you to jump-start our campaign to elect pro-conservation leaders who will protect Wisconsin’s natural resources.

This year, the pro-conservation candidates we supported are making protecting Wisconsin’s natural resources a top priority.
But the winning margin in the Assembly is still too close for comfort, and the Senate fight - especially for The Independent DNR Secretary Bill - has proven even tougher.
If we want to keep our State Legislature on a pro-conservation path, we’re going to need to hit the ground running in 2010. But time is running short!
The monied special interests in this state are already hard at work, recruiting AND funding anti-conservation candidates who could turn back the clock on our recent victories.
