Mark Martin’s Ice Fishing Vacation School at Saginaw BayOur ice fishing team has chosen Saginaw Bay in Saginaw, MI for our Ice Fishing Vacation School held February 8th-11th, 2009. This is your chance to learn all about safety on the ice, how to identify the best fishing spots, how to set up your gear and how to fish for the many species, especially big walleye that inhabit these great waters. You will also receive a generous package of tackle from many of our sponsors. This is the same tackle we use for professional fishing.

We encourage students to arrive early. We will have an orientation seminar on Sunday, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. sharp at Frank’s Great Outdoors in their classroom. Here you will meet our Pro-Staff and get acquainted with fellow fishermen. The seminar will focus on safety, equipment, gear setup and fishing tactics and everyone will receive a valuable ice fishing tackle package including live bait. By attending this seminar, you’ll be rigged and ready to go fishing Monday morning. Be sure to bring bring your own gear or be prepared to purchase it at Franks Great Outdoors. It’s easier to tie knots indoors than on the ice with cold hands.

NPAA Members, Mark Martin #226, Mark Brumbaugh #70, Ross Grothe #64, and Mike Gofron #93 will conduct this Educational “Hands-On” Ice Fishing Schoool on Saginaw Bay, starting at Frank’s Great Outdoors, Feb. 8-11th, 2009 near Bay City, MI.
