River Currents
This past weekend was the 6th annual “Take an Adult Fishing Tournament” at Sauk Prairie’s Wilderness Fish and Game. I’ll talk about that event and another tourney that targeted fish species that you normally don’t associate with tournaments after a local fishing report. The rain that we received a few days ago was welcomed, but it was still hit and miss with precipitation amounts varying from town to town and county to county. I was lucky enough to get about an inch after not having any rain since the third of July. I’ve had to water my garden regularly along with many newly planted trees and even older established ones. Many of my maples have lost a majority of their leaves and most trees, plants, and vegetation are greatly stressed. Normally, our area should be getting more than an inch of rain weekly.
