Project Green Team, Using Ecology as a Positive Learning Tool

    Planting Trees PGT Spring 2007   A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the great success that the Family Fishing Day was at Lake Marion in Mazomanie. I’ve gotten great feedback from many of you readers and all of it has been positive. There is nothing greater than introducing a child to fishing and the outdoors.

My travels recently took me to Avalanche, Wisconsin, outside of Viroqua in Vernon County, to spend the day with a group of high school students from Madison’s alternative high school, Malcolm Shabazz. Continue Reading »
