Spring Turkey Hunting is Getting Close 2005

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has mailed out the 2005 spring turkey hunting permits to successful hunters who applied before the December 10th deadline. This season, is the 23rd spring that hunters have been able to hunt turkeys in Wisconsin.More… Turkeys were reintroduced into Wisconsin back in January of 1976 after the state traded ruffed grouse to Missouri for Eastern Wild Turkeys. The state has issued 193,000 permits for this year’s season that runs from April 13 to May 22. The season is divided into six 5-day (Wednesday through Sunday) time periods. Continue Reading »
